Phlebotomy Services
Phlebotomy services are available on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. All the samples are collected from the surgery at 14:00 each day for the analysis at the hospital.
For the test results please allow 48 hours and then contact the surgery after 2:00pm.

Services For Women
Family Planning Advice on oral contraception (pill) and Depot form contraceptives available.
Post-natal Clinics are held by the doctors during the clinic hours.

Long Term Illness Clinics
Clinics are held for long-term illness. Such as Coronary Heart Disease, Strokes, Asthma, Bronchitis, Epilepsy, Mental Health, Hypertension and Hypothyroidism. Patients are encouraged to attend periodically or at least annually on their birthday for their regular check ups.

Newly Registered Patients
All newly registered patients will be asked to have a consultation with the Practice Nurse or Healthcare Assistant soon after registering.

Well Person Clinic
All other patients who have not been seen in surgery over the last 3 years will be offered a health check.

Services For Children
All immunisation services are provided by the surgery. Child health surveillance clinics ie, 8 week baby checks are held at the surgery. Please contact reception for further guidance. You are advised to ensure maximum protection from disease by Immunisation and Vaccination.

Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.

Some services provided are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges. Examples include the following:

  • Medicals for pre-employment and sports
  • Medicals for driving requirements (HGV, DVLA etc.)
  • Insurance claim forms
  • Prescriptions for taking medication abroad
  • Private sick notes
  • Vaccination certificates

The fees charged are based on the British Medical Association (BMA) suggested scales and our reception staff will be happy to advise you about them along with appointment availability (normally 30 minutes are required).
